The representative (or ambassador) of Taiwan to Finland, Freddy Lim, is a fascinating personality. Growing up during the last years of the one party martial law, heavy metal was Freddy’s way of expressing his desire for freedom under a suppressive regime. He then became a part of the new progressive democratic ruling party, and is now the highest ranking diplomat of Taiwan in Finland.
